Forbidden Temple
“Draculhearsals” (Gramschap, Demo 2025)

Forbidden Temple return with "Draculhearsals", a 2025 demo dripping in Old-school Black Metal filth. Belgian rawness, ritual riffs and no compromise.

The Belgium duo is at it again! After releasing “In the Rotting Grave”, an exquisite example of their finesse, arrives a new Demo, by the name of “Draculhearsals”. Aligned with their previous work, this new work is composed of three new original tracks, and a cover of Greek entity Diabolos Rising, which seems pretty fitting considering the band’s sound.

Forbidden Temple has been, for years, one of the most respected contemporary Black Metal acts. The sound, the production, the aesthetics, everything reeks Old-school Black Metal, and I love it. I have the same feeling, for example, for Baxaxaxa. Two acts that are as Black Metal as Black Metal can be. It is amazing how these guys crafted such a sound. Not saying that todays’ Black Metal is not good, especially when Forbidden Temple is a band of the Present… but the sound.

This new Demo has no evolution whatsoever, no “plot-twist”, no evolution, and we love them for that. You know what you are getting into and go into with a smile. Forbidden Temple is one of those bands that went down the Old-school rabbit hole and never came back out. Musically speaking, as mentioned before, you get more of the same all wrapped in a mouldy piece of cloth. Those repetitive and slow riffs, the apparently basic drumming, the vocals from Hell and an overall familiar tune. Man, if you know, you know. This is Black Metal, period, and end of story. No point in beating around the bush, this is the real deal!

Aligned with their Belgian mates in Moenen of Xezbeth and Perverted Ceremony, Forbidden Temple, once again, delivers music straight from the beyond! Smell of sulphur and death, sight of corpses and Satan. You get it, correct?! Of course you do… worship Old-school Black Metal.
