Peregrinus of the Abyss Thank you very much for your time and willingness to answer these questions. Before we dwell deeper into your musical endeavors, allow me to go back to your early beginnings as a Music fan. How did this relation between you and Music did, began? Hi! Thanks for reaching out. I think I have always been attracted to and interested in music. It was always around me, from an early age I was playing records from my father's Vinyl collection or listening to him play acoustic guitar. Can you remember the time, and place, when the desire to be more than a musical fan started evolving into the act of picking up a guitar? 100% the eagerness of wanting to play came from watching my father. Then as I got a little older and coming up through early school years I got introduced to heavy metal and hard rock the want for the electric guitar manifested itself. Seeing KISS on national television in the early 80’s are still etched into my mind. That was a huge acceler

Sounds of Old   Black Metal has been around for decades. It has evolved; it underwent serious issues, that have helped it grown stronger, and give “birth” to a multitude of bands, projects, ideas of projects, whatever. The Black Metal I started listening to still in the 90s is a bit different from the one today. The Black Metal so many people worship today - Raw Black Metal Bloody Tsunami - was ever-present, true, but I leaned more into the one that for years was looked aside: the one that had keyboards on it. Well, not all keyboard oriented Black Metal bands were “discriminated”, but the instrument was seen as… inferior. Go figure, right?! Forward to 2022 and I am still blasting the same bands I did in my formative years, the same records I used to listen to, recorded tapes and that; the Nordic bands that propelled Black Metal to the bigger stages in the biggest Heavy Metal festivals in the World. They exist side-by-side with the more recent Black Metal acts, and both fit perfec

Wehrgoat Man of many Traits and Sounds There are musicians who channel all their work into one project, but there are musicians who are the opposite, ending up with an infinity of projects and collaborations and etc. Wehrgoat is one such case. From Czarnobog to Sturmfolk, through Weligor, Winterfullmoon and a few more. I will try to synthesize the entire musical creation of this young Russian that goes by the name of Wehrgoat, in one interview.  Welcome, first of all. The year 2020 was, regardless of the pandemic that we are going through, quite productive for you: Belzazel, Sturmfolk, Moorgeist, Czarnobog. Can you shed some light on the way you work?   I work when I feel the time is right to do so. All my music is mostly created out of a spontaneous idea. It all depends on the right feelings I have to each project I work on.   Belzazel is your most recent project. I suppose the reason you created it is due to the need to work on a musical line that, until then, you had not focused on?

Nachtmaar – Honesty in Words I had the opportunity to talk to Swartagaldas, last year. Their Demo, "Forever Night", was one of the perfect renditions, in recent years, of that classic Black Metal I love so much. There is honesty in his words, there is honesty in his music, and this is what I see lacking in today's Black Metal… I see this set of questions as one that addresses some points I see many Black Metal fans ignore. Since we last spoke the band released a new EP, " Avgrundsmystik", that carries o nthe work started with " Promo MMXX". Very little is known about you: Switzerland, Black Metal, Forever Night. What else can you tell us about Nachtmaar, your journey so far, the origin of the project? Ave! You already know the most important aspects of Nachtmaar then! The band was founded in spring 2020, proceeded to record the demo in its first weeks of existence, and write material for the soon to be recorded full length. The logo was
